Course Information

The training and assessment for the TLILIC2001 Licence to operate forklift truck is conducted by Intrain Assessor in conjunction with Further Education training & Assessment (FETA) RTO No. 40543

Licence to operate a forklift truck

The TLILIC2001 Licence to operate a forklift truck unit of competency specifies the skills and knowledge for the operation of a industrial truck equipped with lifting media made up of a mast and an elevating load carriage to which is attached a pair of fork arms or other arms that can be raised 900 mm or more above the ground, but does not include a pedestrian-operated truck or a pallet truck.

This unit of competency requires the operator to be able plan the work, conduct routine checks on the forklift, shift loads in a safe manner, and shut down and secure the equipment after the completion of operations. Assessment of this unit will be undertaken in line with National Safe Work licensing requirements and successful completion of these assessments will result in a HRW license.

Course Overview

The forklift course handbook is given to all applicants when enrolling in the course. This handbook must be studied prior to attending the course in order to complete the written test. For applicants who require assistance in completing the theory test, we are able to offer a verbal test (at an additional cost).

The Assessment Tasks to complete this unit are

Formative Assessment

Covers Knowledge, Calculations and Practical completed during the course delivery

Summative Assessment

The assessment tasks required to be successfully completed for the issue of a HRW licence on the 3rd day using the Nationally EndorsedWHS SafeWork assessment instruments.

Assessments consist of:

Knowledge assessment, Calculation assessment and Performance assessment (Practical)

Reassessments

If a student is assessed as being not yet competent a retraining and reassessment process will occur at a cost of

  • Knowledge assessment and or Calculation assessment $100.00
  • Knowledge assessment and or Calculation assessment and Performance assessment (Practical) $150.00
  • Applicants cannot be reassessed for a minimum of 48 hours from the date of the original assessment

Participants require the following:

  • Basic English, literacy and numeracy skills at a level sufficient to read and interpret workplace documentation (tested on enrolment).
  • Age Requirement of 18 years.
  • Proof of NSW address.
  • 100 Points of identification as identified on the SafeWork evidence of identity requirements brochure (1 of must include a Photo identification).
  • Wear appropriate clothing and appropriate footwear (fully enclosed).
  • PPE (high visibility vest will be provided for use in the course).

Course Fees

All learning resources are supplied as part of the course cost. They are supplied on the day of enrollment or via Email, all bookings require a 50% deposit on the day of booking in order to secure your spot.
