Course Information:
This unit specifies the skills and knowledge required to safely operate a boom-type Elevating Work Platform (EWP) where the length of the boom is 11 metres or more in accordance with all relevant legislative requirements. Competence in this unit, does not in itself result in a Risk Work Licence (HRWL) to operate this plant.
Boom-type elevating work platform means a telescoping device, hinged device, or articulated device, or any combination of these, used to support a platform on which personnel, equipment and materials may be elevated.
Requirements To Obtain an Elevated work platform >11 metres
- 100 points of ID
- Must be 18 years of age
- Always arrive 15 minutes before the scheduled start time

Pre-Requisites
- Have good understanding of both written and spoken English
- Arrive wearing closed shoes, safety boots are preferable
- Manual will be emailed upon booking your course with INTRAIN ASSESSOR

- Monitoring site conditions for potential workplace hazards
- Operating the EWP to fulfil operational requirements
- Monitoring and maintaining EWP performance
- Post-start and post-operational checks and procedures
- Onsite communication methods
- Hazard prevention and control measures

- STANDARD COURSE 2 Days training then 1 day Assessment (Using Regulator Mandated Assessment Tools)

All students must complete the practical and theory assessment in order to fulfill the requirements of this course. Participants will need to be deemed competent by their trainer in a formative assessment prior to completing the formal SafeWork assessment
Successful participants receive a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment in TLILIC0005 Licence to operate a boom-type elevating work platform(boom lenght 11 metres or more). Successful participants will also receive a SafeWork NSW Notice of Satisfactory Assessment (NSA) which is valid for 60 days.

- Extra training may be needed prior to sitting the High Risk Assessment

AN EWP Course Handbook is available from either of our office's and is required to read prior to course in order to help complete the written theory and calculations assessments.

- pack up.
